The Team: Winslow Sharks formed in the Fall 2007 and play in the South Jersey Soccer league (SJSL). It is an all-year traveling team playing fall, winter indoor and spring seasons. In addition we play at least four tournaments during the competition year – Aug to July.

The Coaches: Luis Pizarro is the general manager of the team and coach and has been coaching soccer for the Winslow Township Youth Soccer Association (WTYSA) since 2001.   Walt Justice is also a coach for the team and has been coaching for WTYSA since 2006. 

Practices/Training:  The Team practices three times a week;  Tuesdays & Thursdays coaches practices 6:30-8:00 PM at Volpa and a paid Trainer session Saturdays 9:30-11:00 AM, at Donio. 

The playing commitment: SJSL games are played Sundays with start times between 12:30 and 3:30, generally in the South Jersey area. The Fall season is 10 games, 5 home/5 away, and the Spring season is 8 games 4 home/4 away. The winter indoor season, played at Gaetano’s, Franklinville NJ, is 8 games and we anticipate that the games will be Saturdays, likely February thru March 2009.

What to expect for the 2008/09 competition year: We will begin the season with the Team Camp the week of Aug 11- (optional) - and weekly practices will begin the week of Aug 18. We will play at least four tournaments during the year- TBAA preseason Aug 23-24, Columbus Day Oct 11-12, Washington Twp Eastern (Sat only) 2009, and Memorial Day 2009. We will likely play the Winter II session at Gaetanos that may start in February 09 and will probably overlap with the first few week of the Spring Season. Depending on interest – optional activity - we may get together a Team to play at the Wildwood beach blast, last weekend on June 09.
